Fellow pilot here. I don't think I could ever come to the mindset where I'd have to intentionally spin it; even with a forced landing you hope the aircraft comes through okay. Must be hard for you to talk about it, and I hope people realize that pilots make mistakes too. Experience is a painful teacher, and hopefully it has made you a safer pilot.
