There are drugs that help with autoimmune disorders without suppressing the immune system. The two that I am aware of are plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) and low dose naltrexone. For a less medically accepted option, there is a special version of paleo called autoimmune paleo that's basically an elimination diet to see if any food intolerances are causing your autoimmunity to worsen. Might be worth looking into. If you try any of them I am curious how it works for you. Good luck figuring out your next step.

As someone previously diagnosed with CFS/ME, I can assure you that antidepressants are not the only treatment option. I highly recommend Dr. Enlander in Manhattan.
