It seems like a lot of cities tend to have their own Portland-esque neighborhoods (the Village in New York, Jamaica Plain in Boston, etc.). What’s the most similar place to Portland you guys have been to?

When it comes to the guest appearances by “hipster music” legends like Joanna Newsom and Isaac Brock (who lives in Portland, I think) do you usually approach them or do they offer to be on the show? Are there any guests that you’ve always really wanted to have but just haven’t been able to?
