What helped me, was to tell myself "this isn't my Nanna, it's an old friend." Because she was different & changing. The 1st few years of visits were torture for me and broke my heart EveryTime. I finally went and just went with her flow and we talked like old friends & it wasn't nearly as emotionally draining. She would act towards my brother, the way you mention, like pinching his bottom & flirting. The best thing you can do isn't to tel her who you are & embarrass her, but to go along as if you are who she sees you as. Tell her your flattered but have a girlfriend/fiancé/wife.

How can I find & get an appointment with a neurologist who is up to date on research, diagnostics, and treatments? Getting my dad to actually go see a dr took over a year of begging and manipulation, and now has been going to a the same dr at Umass Worcester for about 3 years & they wont run any tests, and say "there are two types of pills we can prescribe" and that's it. I've asked about certain studies, researchers, treatments, etc & am always brushed off. how can I get him to a Good Dr who cares about the patient's & wants to help? A dr who knows about current treatments?
