Hi Mike, Utahn here. You say our economy isn't working for all people, yet we have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country and are consistently ranked as one of the best places to run a business (as you know). We have a highly educated population (many of whom are bi-lingual) low taxes and affordable housing. Given that we are one of the top economies in the US, why would you want government to interfere in our booming economy? Do you believe that will have a net positive effect on all Utahns? Thanks EDIT: what specific policies would you put in place?

Thank you for your reply. While I disagree with your solution, I agree there is an issue with low wage jobs but do not agree there is limited opportunity to escape those low wage jobs. I also disagree with the statement on your page that "Tax breaks, weak regulations, and low wages are not bringing good jobs to Utah." How do you explain the "Silicon Slopes" phenomenon? According to your page you built a business on "putting people first, even before profits". If you believe this was a reason for your success, do you think the (relatively) free market won't pick up on that and start to enact policies similar to your business?

Industry aside, you believe that a person does not have the responsibility to read, understand and agree to documents they sign? The onus always lies on the person signing the document.

Every company I have ever worked for has presented the documents I must sign before I start work. If the employee is concerned about a non-compete then they should ask about it beforehand. Again, I agree the company should be transparent, but the onus is on the employee if they believe it is something that will harm them. It is one of many questions the employee should ask before accepting an offer of employment.

They are only off the market for competitors of CHG, right? How does that change the fact that they agreed to this before they started working for CHG?
