Convincing people you're not going to proselytize is the hardest part. My BA is in religious studies and I had to spend a couple of years interviewing and telling people, "No, I do not want to be a priest. I got a degree from a state university. It is not a degree in theology."

You have that but turned up to 11, because you were actually at a monastery. You'll just need to highlight your other skills and really market yourself. Once you get some more experience on your resume that's not in the monastery, that will help.
