Unfortunate. As a teacher who has worked internationally, I would expect you to appreciate the diversity of ideas and perspectives immigrants bring, and also perhaps have a unique insight as to what life is like for people who come to a new country and have trouble accessing its dominant language.

I also question your general understanding of American values- would you really say that a respect for democracy, hard work, and live-and-let-live truly reflect the current value system in the US?
