I think the dynamics have changed over the course of CISA's development. If we get past tomorrow's vote, it'll be harder than ever for them to reintroduce. There are more people, companies, and privacy groups aware and opposed to CISA than ever before. Some presidential candidates are opposed. I'm not saying it won't happen again, but I don't think it would be quite as easy.

BSA has clarified that they are not supporting CISA. That's largely thanks to individuals telling companies not be complicit in government spying.
From their website
For clarity, BSA does not support any of the three current bills pending before Congress, including the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act (CISA)

I think you're absolutely right. There are far too few alternatives to these CISA, SOPA, and all other horrible pieces of legislation, and that's something to work toward in the long run.
Something we can all support right now is strong encryption. We're almost at 100,000 on a We The People petition urging President Obama to support strong encryption. Here's the link, if you'd like to join.

Strong encryption limits the governments ability to use potential, bad laws like CISA and SOPA and current bad laws like FISA to spy on internet users. All the groups in this AMA have called for positive statements from the Obama Administration and/or legislation in support of strong encryption. Popular momentum is on our side, but we need to continue pushing.
