Never ceases to amaze me how people can get upset by you doing "the wrong play" as if it makes their odds any worse. You'd think they'd be just as likely to thank you if you what you did actually changed the deck in their favor, which it is just as likely to do.

Were I to visit, would you anticipate that I, as an American, would feel less hospitality and perhaps more animosity than you did?

Does it happen completely randomly or does stress cause it to be more frequent?

Not that I believe I have Tourette's in any way, but one odd thing that happens to me is when I'm daydreaming and recalling past experiences where I totally embarrassed myself or am just ashamed or otherwise regretting something I did, I will uncontrollably verbalize whatever I am looking at..."Ivory soap" or "Scrub Free" (ok, I"m writing this on the toilet hehe). And sometimes it is just a swear word. It has hardly ever happened when I'm around other people though...so maybe it isn't totally uncontrollable, or maybe my mind isn't wandering in that particular way when I'm around others.
