From a fellow North Dakotan, thanks for explaining this to those who may not realize what is happening in my home state. It's going to be interesting to look at the rural boom towns of ND in 20-30 years. What is going to be left? The infrastructure currently being built will be left to rot by those who have abandoned the region.

Unfortunately, America thinks in terms of quarterly reports and not in long-term sustainability...We are guilty of it across many landscapes.

Great accomplishment! I think the mental challenge that goes with this type of expedition is as great or greater than the physical.
