This happened to me with Amazon. They had an mp3 album for $15. But the CD from them cost $12. But the CD came with the mp3 album FOR FREE.
I bought the CD and got the free mp3 album.
I hope they don't sue me.

The most efficient and robust ways of sending data are often at direct odds with the ability to find such signals.
For instance, compression removes almost any pattern from your data source, leaving it looking virtually random.
Second, techniques for sending robust signals, such as the family of spread spectrum techniques, will result in a signal that looks much like noise.
Do these considerations play a part in your search?

That's close. But I think it is more apt to say the road builder gets to decide you can drive 80mph if you're going to, say, McDonalds, but you can only drive 20mph if you're going to Walmart.
It is even more apt to then say, well, the road builder just happens to also own a movie theater. So, the road builder will only let you drive 5mph when going to an AMC. But if you want to go to his movie theater, well, you can drive 80mph.
