I loved your TED talk. You seem really genuine and quirky without trying too hard, like you feel comfortable in your own skin. You and Neil Gaiman make an adorable couple, like an eccentric artsy power couple. Your song "the bed song" makes me cry ugly tears but "map of tasmania" always puts me in a good mood. I just wanted to get that out there, I'm always too late when one of my favorite celebrities posts an AMA but was lucky enough to see your status on fb a few minutes ago. Good luck with your book! I've been a fan since the dresden dolls and I'm so happy to see your success expanding.

*Edit. AMA removed my post because it didn't contain a question. That's fair. So... What was the hardest part of writing your book? I've been daydreaming of writing a book for years but always feel intimidated and overwhelmed when I try to put pen to paper.

With your family being so strict, how did they allow you to go to college? Or did you wait until you were an adult and decide to leave on your own?

If ebola is so hard to spread then why is it spreading so badly? Are africans still misinformed about practices such as kissing/washing their dead ones and preparing bush meat? Or is ebola easier to catch than we once thought, perhaps transferable through oils in the hands, sneezing, flies landing on dead bodies and then landing on healthy people, etc. I am especially concerned that so many health care workers have gotten sick, as they should be the most educated on how to avoid contamination and I am just wondering why they are getting sick in the first place if they are taking such rigid precautionary measures to keep themselves safe.

The official WHO numbers are 5357 total cases and 2630 total deaths as of the 14th of September. Do you feel that is an accurate representation of ebola cases or do you think it is under reported? If you feel the numbers are under reported, what would you say a more accurate representation would be?
