you have a very poor understanding of what's occurring. if this virus was not taken seriously it could have spread to 100s of millions of people and caused millions of deaths. it is very dangerous and comparing the current death toll of a virus that basically started a month too the seasonal flu is asinine especially when its growth is exponential. it's growing by around 30-50% per day and its contagious without symptoms. you are discounting the tail risk associated with a virus like this. If transportation out of wuhan and affected areas was not shut down and other governments were not taking it seriously it could have spread all over the world
