How did the captain/stewards tell you something was wrong? Did they know something was wrong?

What was your initial reaction to the explosion?

But seriously, I'm an aspiring filmmaker/actor/screenwriter currently in my first year of college, and I'm not really liking it. I can't afford film school and I feel that college isn't a good fit for me. So far after moving to a new place I've been able to work on bunch of productions, but only one has been connected with college. Even though I've done well in school, I'd rather drop out and find my way into the film industry through all the other ways possible without it, but my parents aren't really going for that approach.

How can I convince my parents that I'm better off using my time and money in different ways than school?
