Like, I was just writing some code, which is segfaulting, you know, and I, um, I was hoping that the new second-order optimization algorithm would provide a better fit for the data and not drive the matrix singular, but cough, I, uh, I keep getting the indices wrong and it keeps overrunning the bounds of the array, so. And they pretend like they're really different when they're not. But homotopy seems kind of more systematic, though it requires making assumptions about the structure of the solution space. But that's good, you know? You should have some kind of, like, understanding of the solutions you're going to get. Because different solution spaces are qua-qualitatively different, for example the solution space of a linear system is just different than the solution space of a quadratic system, and I wish more people would talk about that.
