Please ask them to re-encode the .mp4 from the source instead of simply changing the container from .mov --> .mp4 as the quality of the video in the .mov was not great at all, it had quite a bit of pixelation and video noise/artifacts throughout, way more than a 1.6GB file at 720p should have.

I'm rooting for this as much as anyone, but it will be interesting to see how it actually works out. The problem is that most venues that are big enough to accommodate CK have binding contracts with TicketMaster/LiveNation so you can't perform there unless they sell the tickets. CK is basically trying to do exactly what Pearl Jam tried (and failed at) almost 20 years ago. I'm sure none of this is news to him though so I can't wait to see what his plan is.
