One of the arguments I heard that I really liked is that the flat earth isn't really the issue/question/problem. The problem is that "we" have no firsthand knowledge of the shape of the earth, and we're just supposed to trust "the government" etc. I think a lot of the flat earth people just have a distrust of the system, which is justifiable.
Personally, I think it's nuts to think every NASA photograph is just photoshopped, but I understand the idea behind that line of thinking.

I've seen them explain all those things through their own wacky methods though.
The documentary did a great job of explaining it: they start with the result they want, and work backwards to find the "science" that fits.
