Sadly, my 11 year old mind could not comprehend the magnitude of this loss, given how much effort we had put in. I even put on the accent (we live in New Zealand, so would have sounded silly otherwise) when I was singing the lead part.
So no, we did not whistle. It would have been too hard through the tears.

Hi Mr. Berners-Lee!
I want to expand on your idea of a "digital bill of rights". Is this even possible these days? With country's seemingly spying on each other and their own citizens at will, is it likely any governments will be able to come together for an agreement on something like this?
Further, do you worry that a digital bill of rights will end up being pointless, with rogue spy agencies and hackers able to avoid detection while breaching these rights?

In Secondary School, my class did a version of "Always Look On The Bright Side of Life". We even swore, in front of all the teachers. We lost to a terrible rendition of "Two Little Boys".
My question is: Were we robbed?
