What, in your opinions, are the best ways for net.activists to pursue legislative activism to prevent laws like the DMCA?

Is there an advantage in getting it checked quickly? I.e. is there a way to prevent hearing loss if reported early enough?

I looked at the list of app statuses, and didn't see Google Play listed. Is it considered a different system? Noting that my Google Music library disappeared after the "disruption" today.
