no question, but thank you for making such a hilarious movie. My friend and I had to pause it several times because we felt like we were laughing ourselves inside out and were worried we'd die.

Saw they made a new game and was excited to see if it was going to have any VR component, but after reading about the timer thing, that's weird and super annoying, so that's gonna be a nah dawg from me.

Everyone looks retarded when they play, and no one gives a shit. :) My favorite part about playing in the arcade was when dbag guys came in with their groups of friends and started making fun of the people playing ddr to them, to which I would immediately offer to pay for a game for them, and they would feel like fucking idiots and get laughed at by their friends. Looking retarded while being good at the game is a hell of a lot better than looking retarded and being awful :p

Same as Walletau, I used to have a pad hooked up through an adapter. The pad was 100 bucks (red octane? I think is what it was called, it's been years) and the adapter was like 15ish. I'm guessing it'd be far cheaper now (this was in 2004).

I started playing ddr and lost 50 pounds in a month, got to a halfway healthy weight, but made the mistake of starting to go to arcades and the ego boost you get there from people thinking you're amazing kind of makes it not nearly as fun playing at home, so after the local arcade got rid of their DDR cabinet and got an ITG one (which you could still put custom step files from stepmania on, so it wasn't a huge deal, just hated the crowd that played at that point), I stopped playing, and got super fat again.

As far as set up goes, I'm guessing any xbox 360 pad would probably just work plugging in the USB now (I had a PS2 one back then), but step mania recognized the pad without any extra steps or anything. You just need to set it up how you want in the settings menu. (sensitivity etc)
