roomba owner since 2006 here, they break down and you have to replace parts every now and then, having said that, it is worth the money because if you are the type of person who doesn't vacuum as much as you should (and like 98 percent of people are) it is worth it vacuuming half as good as an upright 20 times more often.

I buy single bricks.

I have lots of things that occasionally will lose a piece. I HATE having a missing piece and will order 1 thing off of brick link to fix the problem.

does it vacuum as well as a regular model? no

does it vacuum while you are sitting on the computer reading reddit? yes

so overall, for a good portion of people that don't vacuum near as often as they should, it is helpful

I like to use the real vacuum when I'm cleaning, but there is no way that is gonna happen to every room every day like I can do with the roomba with very minimal effort
