Thanks for doing this AMA! Two questions:

1) I was in Israel recently and heard a survivor speak at Yad Vashem. One of the things he said that really stuck out to me was that if Israel had existed back in 1938, the Holocaust never would have happened. What do you think of this idea?

2) Why/how do you think holocaust survivors, like yourself, were able to leave the atrocities that the witnessed behind and move on to live incredibly successful and fruitful lives?
