I have a friend like this actively in the Navy. Hates anything to do with socialist policies (welfare, food stamps, the ACA, etc.) but his entire livelihood has been taken care of for him and will continue to be after he is done serving. He gets benefits for his kids, a hefty housing allowance, free medical care, etc.. I don't think it even goes so far as he feels he deserves it it's just the way it is.

The thought process is very puzzling.

Did you have any ethical dilemmas before working on the project?

I would think it was somewhat like any addiction. Does it dominate your life, do you prioritize gaming over relationships, do you find it to be something you cannot control.

I say "somewhat" because many people have very healthy social interactions with gaming associates and form lasting and meaningful relationships. When those people are also friends that you encounter socially, I don't see how that is any different than going bowling or whatever.

You mention ToTK... will your approach be to enjoy the game for the main story experience or be a completionist?

I'm asking mainly because I'm currently a casual gamer with limited time, and will play something like ToTK over the course of the next 2 years or so, and that will likely be my only gaming that I will do.

From a personal perspective, I've always loved video games, and it was a definite motivating factor for me to pursue a technical career. The interesting side-effect to working in tech all day, and I have done everything from game and web development to infrastructure engineering, is that the last thing I usually want to do when I'm done working is be in front of any kind of screen.

One thing I noticed on your website is that your search engine optimization for lazy susans (especially the interactive 2 you are trying to sell) is pretty much non-existent.

Overall SEO is pretty dismal. I'd be surprised if you were getting much traffic at all for people wanting lazy susans. It seems that your website pushes recipe cards/binders/containers way more than the lazy susans. If you want some advice on the SEO front, PM me.

The product itself is niche as hell...which makes it a great product if you can find where that niche market shops. You have a brick and more location in Garden City. How are sales there?

On your website it states: "We custom-engrave all of these lazy susans, ensuring you are getting a fantastic product not available in any store. "

Are all of your products custom engraved? It's going to be a little difficult if all your products are custom engraved as you'll not have any goods to actually sell to an interested buyer in a shop with money in their hands. But I'm sure that's not the case.

Something else, I noticed... let's say this AMA gets massive and suddenly people are really interested in your product... at this point you have a total of 6 items in stock on Amazon with the other option of having something custom engraved (or not) via your website.

What's the turn around time on creating and delivering a custom item? How long does it take your company to make a non custom lazy susan?

I kind of get the game concept, but I think you'd make a lot more money engraving cliche, tongue in cheek self-empowering quotes instead of trying to stretch it into a game. Things like "Wine is cheaper than therapy" and "Let them Eat Cake" kind of stuff. I'm sure you could sell a lot of those. I live in the South and rich people love those kind of things.
