I'm curious how you found Reddit! Did someone tell you about AMA's, or did you know about Reddit before and just decided to do one?

The uvula and the soft palate close off a part inside of you to prevent you from getting food or drink in your nasal cavity when eating or drinking. So OP might have to learn to swallow in a new way, I think.

I'm very surprised OP wasn't told about this and was even told the uvula serves no real purpose. Fuck yeah it does!
