RESUBMITTED: How is this an AMA versus a promotion of the OP's company?

Are we now permitted to advertise our organizations on Reddit?

I'm a licensed addictions counselor and a licensed mental health therapist in the State of Ohio, USA. Check my post history, I can privately verify to the mods if requested. I don't go around promoting my company, now nor ever.

This AMA reads like an advertisement versus an AMA for someone who is presenting as an addictions specialist (and discussing PTSD is more in the realm of mental health, just sayin') If I were to post an AMA, it'd be neutral without references to my company.

EDIT: OP is also posting responses that promote OP's (alleged) company. If we can do this for an AMA, can I start promoting my company on Reddit?

EDIT 2: and now the person who posted this thread is including the phone number of their company including a contact person who is named by their first name. Are the mods asleep? Do we need more AMA mods ? Is this Rampart?

EDIT 3: at this point I'm going to stop being polite and I'm calling this for what it is. This is a blatant advertisement for someone's company and it needs to be removed from the subreddit immediately because it has no business being posted as an AMA. This posting does nothing to raise awareness except awareness of the company that is being shamelessly promoted in this thread.

What was the most difficult thing about flying the B17, and what was the simplest thing (that didn't seem so simple at first glance)?

For everyone demanding proof in this AMA:

Please note that the person who says she is a hockey referee probably is telling the truth. If you check my posting history, you'll see that I work high school and college football (Division III) and high school and some college softball. If I were to do an AMA, I'd list the conferences where I work plus I'd toss in photos of me on the field/in uniform along with anything else that could establish my identity (to the mods, other personalized proof would go out)

A sports official who engages in U15 and senior womens won't have the credential paperwork that the rest of us would have

BUT

I can tell you that my paystubs do not say "College Football Referee" nor do my high school paycheques say that necessarily. Instead they say things like CONTRACTOR or OFFICIAL -- which, btw, can mean a lot to different schools. Thus, a paycheque won't do much good.

Also, we don't really have ID badges, but I can submit my high school permit card along with a photo ID.

This particular AMA - the referee in question doesn't say she works high school, college, etc. The requirements for working those leagues are less stringent, and, as a result, don't really have anything that would be a sure-fire iron-clad ID to prove she's on the level.

Without any offense or insult meant, she probably cannot furnish anything that would satisfy many of you because of her "age" in the sport (she's a 2nd year official) and works leagues where - again, no offense is intended - you don't need much more than a pair of ice skates and a whistle to work.

This is NOT an AMA from a college or pro hockey referee or an olympic referee. You are getting an AMA from a junior and senior (age-wise) level referee. Please keep in mind she's new to officiating and what level she's working.

I'll take her at face-value because I've "been there, done that." She hasn't given me any reason to doubt her validity as she's made no outlandish claims. I'm not the only one here on Reddit who can call "BULLSHIT!" due to my current officiating level/experience, but, if she puts herself out there to be something she's not and I can call "BULLSHIT!" I will. So far, I've not seen anything that gives an indication she's attempting to be something she's not which would require the higher level of proof. I don't even have any sort of ID for my college officiating; that's just how we roll. Imagine how lack-luster pee-wee and blue-hair officiating must be when it comes to establishing I.D.

They are giving generic statement responses that you can find on a Google search. All they are doing is advertising their company which is not the purpose of this subreddit. The moderators really need to remove this post and if someone is going to do an actual post as a recovery or addictions specialist and it needs to be not promoting a particular company or someone's book etc. But that's just my very strong and extremely professionally informed opinion
