I too am adopted. I believe my parents adopted me 3 days after birth as well. Im white and went to a white family but thought I'd share my experience. My parents let me know I was adopted way before I could even understand what it meant. Had/am having a great life and everything has been great. When I was 18 my parents gave me info about my birth mother. At the time I didn't do anything about it, don't know why, just didn't. About 2 years ago, Im 42, I actually decided to try and find her. I did, we met, all was great. She was 16 and decided to have me instead of an abortion. She ended up having a family years later and I have a 1/2 brother and 1/2 sister. We all got together for a reunion and it was cool. Surreal but cool.

Anyways, congrats to being in a better place and having a much better shot at life.

And I never had any idea it is National Adoption Month either.

Very cool, good times. I was sponsored back in the late 80s-early 90s by Vision and Independent. I was just getting out of High School and I had a blast. Traveled all over the US to contests every weekend. My parents were sure I stole someones credit card when all the gear started showing up at the house. But, unfortunately lost my sponsors because I kept getting injured and didn't progress much any more, but had a blast. Now Im 42, still skate but hate riding those skinny boards. Im very close to landing the 540 again, that was my new years resolution this year. Looks like it'll be nests years resolution too.

Anyways, keep it up and enjoy it.
