Hi Marina, First I just wanted to say how impressive I think your work is. I had been walking through MOMA with my dad when I saw you sitting in front of a young woman and was mesmerized by your control and sense of calm. I remember hearing about a performance you did in which you sat in front of a large table filled with various items, including a loaded handgun, which anybody could use. One person actually ended up pointing the gun at you, yet you sat still.
All of your pieces seem to be equally physically/emotionally exhausting. My question to you is how do you retain such control and calm under such duress?

Yay for regular pooping! People don't realize how much of a blessing it is to poop regularly without pain or discomfort.

I just want to tell you that I think you are incredibly brave and resilient and that you should be SO proud of yourself. People don't realize how tough a feeding tube can be. I have Crohn's Disease and I recently had to use an NG tube (not the same as yours, I know) that goes through the nose and into the stomach. Having to learn how to insert it was hell and it was really hard to maintain the will power to insert it each night—especially since I am alone in college and feeding tubes aren't exactly "cool" (although they should be!). Each time I used the tube, I was frighteningly aware of my own fragility—I was relying on a TUBE to keep myself fed and that felt very demoralizing. Luckily I was able to push past all of that, recover, and eventually stop using the tube after a little over a year of use.
In any case, I have three questions for you if they are not too personal:
What is what kind of formula you have and how much you ingest each day?
Does it go 24/7? Or do you only activate it at certain times of day? I used mine only during the nighttime.
Has using the tube affected the way you go to the bathroom? I found that it relieved a lot of pain but resulted in very loose stools.

Hi Mr. Lee,
First off, I wanted to say I just recently saw "Do the Right Thing" and was absolutely blown away. I loved it, and I really look forward to checking out your other films--Especially "Oldboy!"
That being said, I remember reading that you once said that only white people have ever asked you whether Mookie did the right thing or not. Black people never seem to ask this question as they seem to tacitly understand Mookie's actions. My question to you is why do you think this is the case? In your experience, do white people ever get it right? Or does the fact that they have to even ask you for the answer mean that they will never understand?
