One time I hung out with an artist known as Basshunter and he let me listen to a couple of tracks that he wasn't even nearly finished with. I asked him how often he listens to his own music.

He said pretty much never because by the time he gets done making a track, he has listened to it and tweaked it so many hundreds of times that he just simply doesn't want to listen to it anymore.
