I recommend food service over retail, personally. Try to get into a place that serves alcohol (can be a chain, doesn't matter. TGI Fridays and Olive Garden are fine). Work your way up to being a waiter/waitress. Those tips are pretty nice. Customers will always suck sometimes, but there are a lot of nice people too.
