It's absolutely wild to me that you started in IS - I'm getting ready to start my masters in LS, and never in a million years would I have dreamed that you IS people have the option to go into this kind of work. Good on you man, this sounds like really exciting and interesting work - mentally and physically.

I do not understand censoring your typing. We all know you are using the word "asshole", and it's not like reddit filters those words out. Why bother?

Probably a great deal of it has to do with the fact that they both see it as being a freak accident that happened during innocent playing. I believe that in Rachelle's AMA she even talked about how horseplay in and around pools had always been a part of her life - it was just this one time that something really horrible managed to happen.

Were there areas of your education that you found exceptionally lacking? I was also homeschooled through high school, and find that in particular, my mathematics, science, and history knowledge are poorer than I would like.

If so, how do you compensate for these lacks? How much self-teaching do you do now as an adult?

I would point out that while getting a degree then living the rest of your life in a 9-5 that sucks your soul might be average, it certainly isn't the life everyone has to go by. It is possible to live a fulfilling life without joining the circus, but also without being sucked into a "normal" existence.
