PLEASE!

My father died recently. He was in the Navy during Vietnam. We were under the impression that we'd need to file something with the VA to get his flag - but the funeral home had it at the service, less than a week after he died. Do you guys keep them on hand or what?

Yeah, we never brought tbe dd214, that's why we were confused when we saw it displayed. Could that mean I can turn it in to the post office and get another one? My mom gave my brother the flag and I would really like one.

Also, really not handling it well - it was rather traumatic for me but time will heal. Thank you.

Yeah we found it like the day after the funeral. My dad was a hoarder, so it took us a while to find the important paperwork.
