working in a porn company (not SG), the photoshoot process really is set lights up and shoot shoot shoot. Theres not much "artistry" involved. the actual time spent onset for a 20-30 minute scene (including set up, photo shoot, break down, set up again for video, video shoot, breakdown) takes roughly 4 hours, actual picture taking for sometimes over 300 images isnt more than 1 hour. Depending on how SG runs it's shit, it can either have the photographer set up model and location or it can do it for them. If they run it like we run it then photographers dont edit the pictures, they probably have graphic designers or photo retouchers getting paid for this in office. All in all, I would imagine the actual amount of work the photographer does is no more than 4 hours and can be as little as 2. If that is so then the photographer is making between $50-$100 an hour for his time. If they run their company like us then their photographers might be shooting anywhere form 4-7 times a week. at $200 per shoot they are making $800-$1400. not bad considering they most likely doing something they enjoy doing, taking photos. of course, this is all theoretical. All in all, I would be happy making $200 for 4 hours of work, specially when work consists of taking pictures of hot girls
