So far, his longest reply is 2 sentences. This ama needs to be buried. I thought I remember seeing that the mods give these celebs an ama rundown and tell them what makes a successful and unsuccessful ama. His will be added to Woody's in what NOT to do in an ama.

Was also wondering this, but in the article it says 5 yr olds wouldn't be able to do the actual equations, but they would be able to sort of understand the concept and it just lays the foundation (I think).

She doesn’t expect children to be able to solve formal equations at age five, but that’s okay. “There are levels of understanding,” she says. “You don’t want to shackle people into a formal understanding too early.” After the informal level comes the level where students discuss ideas and notice patterns. Then comes the formal level, where students can use abstract words, graphs, and formulas. But ideally, a playful aspect is retained along the entire journey.

From your link:

Politico published a statement by a former staff member that, "After a while[,] the consensus was [that] we really couldn't find anything of substance," ..."They produced reams of paperwork. After all of that there was really nothing there that we could find. It all pretty much dissolved from that reason alone—and the interest level was losing steam. We only did it for a couple of years."[3]

Benjamin Radford wrote in Skeptical Inquirer that among what little information has been released by the program are "several short videos of military jets encountering something they couldn't identify...." He went on to say that "some researchers, including Robert Sheaffer and Mick West, have suggested that distant jets might be the culprit...."

So looks like the program found no substance and was therefore discontinued.
