What happened that resulted in you weighing almost 500 lbs? And what was the progression (e.g 200 lbs at age X, 250 lbs at age y, etc.)? Congratulations on losing all the weight, and hopefully you inspire others.

I almost went to Antarctica in December because it's a lifelong goal to take a picture with a penguin in the wild. Do ever plan on going back in the near future?

Sigh. This is why you don't reddit and talk on the phone at the same time. I've never seen an AMA post more than 24 hours before the actual AMA though. Why would anyone think that's a good idea? Maybe to get give more carefully crafted responses or something.

I've never been to New Orleans, but all the comments here make it clear why Uber and Lyft are so necessary. Uber isn't exactly the nicest company, but they seem head and shoulders above New Orleans cabbies.

So my question is, what good reason is there for banning regular UberX (and Lyft, etc.) and similar services from New Orleans, when they provide far better value, convenience, and customer service than your cabs appear to? My friends have used Uber in other cities and have nothing but positive things to say.
