I've been a sheltered city dweller for my whole life. I'm interested in getting in touch with nature and maybe doing some backpacking and see where things go.

Any recommendations for a beginner?

How was she slutty on the trail? She slept with one guy one time during the whole hike... That's not to say she didn't have issues before the hike, but I never got the impression that the PCT was a hookup destination from the book.

I had LASIK about 8 years ago, I was extremely nearsighted and had astigmatism and dry eyes before the surgery making it impossible for me to wear contacts (they would just pop out). After the surgery I had nearly perfect vision, but over the last couple of years I've noticeably become more nearsighted again. When I had the original surgery the doctor said I had very thick corneas.

Based on this info how likely do you think it would it be for me to be a good candidate for getting my eyes "touched up"? I know I could opt for something like ClearVision where my own lenses are replaced, but I don't have any symptoms of cataracts so I would have to pay out of pocket.

A lot of hikers will add olive oil to food or just eat it raw for the extra calories.
