Thank you for doing this AMA, I'm a programmer myself currently developing custom Web Applications for companies that hire our services. As a programmer I often feel unappreciated and over worked. Often times I find myself questioning my decision to get into software development. I think we can agree that it's often a thankless job. How exactly do you guys cope with all the verbal abuse you'd receive from end users? How do you get trough the day? How do you continue?

Do you really believe that your work will change anything? As much as I hate the spying and all the government BS do you think they'll stop? They might just pass some new laws and get around everything but they won't ever stop. What makes you think that a difference can be made?

Do you believe that the TSA is too strict with what they take away given that you can get the same in the airport terminal? (Water bottles etc.) In your opinion what would be the ideal way to assure that a flight is completely safe? I remember once my wife accidentally brought in a butter knife (metal) in her purse. un-noticed by the TSA. Do you believe that incidents like this occurs more often then not?

The situation really sucks, and I thank you for being so out going about this. What has been the hardest thing about this whole situation? And what do you hope your last day is like?
