What kind of training did you receive to prepare for the whole "landing in China" part of the mission? If any, was it useful?

I hate myself because the first link you posted is blue, but the second is purple.

Well, depends on whether you could change your mind.
I think it's fundamentally wrong, because we have, through natural selection, bred in all sorts of prosocial behaviors in our species. We routinely sacrifice our own interests for the benefit of others, especially when we have a strong relationship with them. Not to mention, strength of relationships tend to correlate somewhat well with "percentage of shared genes."
Letting people die goes against our own instincts towards empathy, compassion, etc. And while reducing empathy and compassion might make an individual more likely to survive till reproduction, it might make it less likely for a group (whether a blood-related family unit or maybe even a larger social construct) to survive long term and stave off extinction.

Doesn't it just rhyme with Aristotle?
