I noticed the same type of driving in Beijing. Constant honking (even at red lights), constant traffic, and constant sketchiness. The one time we took a cab the driver swerved in and out of oncoming traffic to pass trucks, this was when there was nobody even on the right side. Also, a friend of mine got clipped when using a crosswalk by a cab that was turning left. It's looking like it's a common theme in Asia that YOUR car always has the right of way, ALWAYS.

A lot can't read?? I find that hard to believe without a source. Wouldn't books be even more instrumental in their learning and entertainment if they can't hear? And is closed captioning just a waste of resources then?
