You will not be forgotten. With your permission, I would like to tell a story about you to people I meet. I don't know you. They don't know you. I don't want to tell them about your cancer or your favorite ice cream. I just would like to share one of your favorite stories that you personally experienced. I can say that I knew this guy from Kirkland, WA. His name is Greg. And when he was ___ he had the funniest, craziest, weirdest, most mundane, (or any other adjective to describe the story) thing happen to him... Your life experience will be pasted on to complete strangers and even though they will never meet you, they will have an intimate look at a part of your life, and in that way you will be forever encapsulated in a true story to be shared by strangers.

With that said, care to share a story which I can share with others?

I hope you inspire others who have witnessed blatant abuse of power but have been too afraid to say something. What kind of serious threats or outright violence against you and your family have you witnessed, other than the typical empty cowardish death threats?

If your job search is not going well, and even if it is, you should send it to us. We may not get you a job in the end but we will guarantee that someone looks at your resume.

Good advice but it can be cost you a job offer. Once a recruiter submits your resume to an employer, that employer is not allowed to receive the same resume from a competitor agency. (well, they are allowed, but can not get paid on it). That's not the real issue. If the recruiter doesn't inform you before they send your resume to a potential employer, and get your permission to do so, it may become troublesome. The fees are very high for placement of higher salary employees ($25k-100k). If there are two candidates that are similar in experience, one came through craigslist and the other via an agency, the company will usually pick the one that will not cost thousands of dollars just to hire. Source: I was a headhunter for attorneys and saw this happen to a candidate from a recruiter who was being threatened to be fired if their numbers didn't move up so they started to get desperate and just sent out resumes and asked for permission after they got a response from the employer. The industry is "sales" for all intents and purposes, so it's pretty cut-throat.
