Why do many take when one take do trick

I know one company pays their mechanics better than the drivers. And their mechanics aren’t very good. I’m the tech that strictly works on their trucks when they bring it to my shop. anything that is moderately difficult comes to me. They can’t even replace a transmission properly. Blows my mind. The drivers are literally putting their life on the line.
