I read here on Reddit about this guy that would kidnap women and put them in his sound proof basement and leave them tied up for weeks and months and do fucked up shit to them. He also had this recording that he would play to his captives explaining what was happening and what he was going to do to them. Just reading what the whole recording said was difficult to do. Some people are just really sick.

In the movie I wanted him to get away. Probably because Joel Edgerton is so fucking handsome, but I know in real life this guy is probably just as bad as the criminals he worked with.
