As someone who has raised over $18 million in Silicon Valley in two separate rounds the last 12 months, that's not true at all.

I do want board members to go to the mat for me, but there's no way in hell I'd touch a check from DFJ right now, and especially Tim Draper. That said, that's only true if you have options, I suppose, and all money is green.
