Not worked on, but have seen the setup for the UK (celeb) version. There was a crew of about 60? total working on the shoot. The "backstage" facilities I think were all separate tents, adding up to about the same amount of space as the main tent - pot wash was definitely one of those.

They didn't get the fancy false floor for the plumbing though just straight out to a waste water bowser.

How do they work the routes out so as to give full time hours to bus drivers? Surely everyone is trying to get too/from school at the same time of day, or do kids get dropped/picked up hours before/after school ends?

Most of the time the film comes on a hard drives that slot into the projection server. More reliable than downloading 250+ GB's. I have a friend who works at technicolor, packing boxes full of hard drives ready for distribution.

My Dad also has a balanced translocation. Luckily I am unaffected - but getting tested was a whole new type of scary.

The sort we had was 25% carrier. 25% non-viable (early miscarriage). 25% miscarriage or severely disabled (my uncle made it to 6?, my cosin to 4). 25% normal non-carrier.

If I remember correctly, it take up to 2 hours to do the judging / reaction shots / food photography after each challenge (think they stagger it with lunch breaks as well...)
