TL;DR is there any hope for those of us who don't want that kind of thing in our games? I know it might be more 'orders from above' rather than a Maxis decision, but you'll only get so much customer goodwill before people start feeling like they're being taken for a ride. I loved SimCity and other Maxis games and was so excited to hear about a new SimCity coming out, but the day-one DLC, price differential, etc, has put a huge damper on my enthusiasm. Is it better than it appears? If so, how?

I had never heard of Senator Gravel's campaign before now, but after a little searching, I'm surprised at how many of his stances I agree with. Should he choose to run again, I would definitely vote for him.

I have no idea if this is actually even an issue anymore, but I still do it just in case. If I remember nothing else from the show, it will be to always cut up my plastic rings.
