Why is the search function on reddit so sub-par after all the years it's been around?

Work on projects, document them and be prepared to discuss them in an interview. No, it isn't work experience but it shows initiative, creativity and self-study.

Let's not overwhelm the guy here. It's been 2h since my question was posted. :)
