I'm an ex-coworker of his (Hi Jeff), and I can only speak for myself, but I have a hard time playing the MMO's I worked on for real. I can run around and use them for hanging out, but actually playing the content is hard for me. I spent 5 years writing code for the games, using debug commands to grant myself items and powers and being able to move anywhere at any time, etc. So I've been trained to do that. That's how I interact with the game world now. When I don't have access to wide array of developer commands and debug tools (and the source code) it gets a lot harder to play. That's not to say I haven't played the game without developer commands, we did play tests all the time. However, when doing play tests on certain content there were scripts that would auto-grant us appropriate gear and items that we expect players to have at that point in the game so we could get a more authentic experience. Recently I did go back a few times and played characters on my non-dev account but I get this itch to start popping open my text editor and changing and fixing things but I can't anymore. :-/

Quick formatting tip: Reddit uses markdown, which takes what you write and does some minor modifications to HTML. As a consequence of that, when you write a numbered list, it gets converted to

<ol>
  <li>foo</li>
  <li>bar</li>
  <li>baz</li>
</ol>

Which means whatever numbers you used in you original post just get ignored. I suspect you meant to start with 2., but it's coming out as 1. in this post due to this conversion. If you do 1) or some other notation the markdown parser won't catch it and it'll make more sense to readers.

Explain how then and a discussion about the merits of their stance can be had.

Impeachment does not require crimes.

Impeachment is meant to be used in cases of "Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors". What that means is entirely up to congress, but it's not meant to be used for just anything. You're right that a crime doesn't have to be committed since that's not traditionally what "high crimes" refer to. However, it's not meant to be used for him being unfit.

Being unfit to hold office is covered by the 25th amendment, section 4. This sidesteps the impeachment process but has essentially the same effect mechanically (though not necessarily politically".
