Whenever people say that they think it's a dumb show, I feel like they really don't get the point. It's wrong to categorize it as a comedy, even as a dark comedy. It's drama that looks into the darkest parts of human existence. It shines a spotlight on our personal demons: addiction, depression, self loathing, loneliness, hopelessness, lack of fulfillment, lack of purpose, feeling incomplete... It uses comedy as a way to soften the blow of just how fucking depressing it is. If you go into Bojack expecting to have fun, you should either adjust your expectations or find something else
