Any plans for a release on console?

I'm a Navy vet working as as export cargo screener (basically doing work very similar to the TSA).

I've been trying to get into the TSA for about a year now but I always miss the openings. I have two questions:

1) Given my background (military security and 1+ years of screener experience) where could I expect to start within the federal ranking system?

2) Is it a requirement to go to Georgia for training?
