Hi! What remained of Saxon culture after the Normans took over? And does anything of that culture remain strong today (say, in holiday practices, laws, or whatnot)? Thank you. And you have the best job ever!

Thanks ever so much! I'm glad to have my unlearned suspicions confirmed: that the proud Saxon culture didn't die quickly. I knew the Normans formed the new upper class and I worried that they tried to squelch the culture of the (new) lower class locals. At least William was thoughtful in his way...!
