Yeah, i don't buy it.

I think looking at ancient Greece, Athens in particular, Is the best argument against direct democracy. "What, you won the war against the Persians but didn't bring our dead back for proper burial?! Ok, well, we're just going to execute all of you."

Do you plan on going to door to door to speak with voters directly? I don't know how it is in Ohio, but it's a pretty time honored tradition here in maine.

Switzerland is not a direct democracy, they just adopted certain elements of it and even that's primarily at the town and canton level. Beyond that, they also have a better education system and is also significantly smaller than the United States.
